Zelensky called for the transfer of $300 billion of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine

Vladimir Zelensky called on Western countries to transfer $300 billion of frozen Russian assets abroad to Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian president, this would be a fair step that would make Russia “pay for its aggression.”

Earlier, the media wrote that discussions about the confiscation of frozen Russian assets have intensified in the West.

It all happened after the allocation of two financial assistance packages for Ukraine worth more than $110 billion fell through.

The US Congress failed to vote on the allocation of $60 billion, and Orban blocked the release of 50 billion euros in aid from the EU.

And the confiscation of Russian assets is seen in the West as an alternative source of financing assistance to Ukraine.

The media write that the United States is persistently pushing its European allies to take such a step.
