Biden signs Ukraine aid bill

US President Joe Biden has signed bills on aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

He announced this during a speech at the White House. CNN reports this.

The USA will resume arms deliveries to Ukraine within a few hours, Biden said.

He said the United States will send Kiev ammunition for air defense, artillery, missile systems and armored vehicles.

“It’s a good day for America, it’s a good day for world peace. This is extremely important. I just signed legislation that deals with security assistance.”

“It will make America safer, it will make the world safer. It will provide … assistance to our partners so that they can protect themselves.”, the US president said.

According to Biden, this assistance is also an investment in the US’ own security.

“If our allies are safer and stronger, we will be stronger,” he emphasized.
