From an interview that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave to Fox News journalist Bret Baier.
“I cannot change our attitude toward the Russians. And I do not wish to. They are murderers for us. The US is our friend. The EU are our friends. But Putin and the Russians are enemies. But that doesn’t mean we don’t want peace. We want the real picture to be recognized.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he was not against peace.
He wants it to be long-term. So Ukraine must be strong, backed by a strong army and partners.
The Ukrainian leader also disagreed that Ukraine allegedly wants to go to war, to fight, as Trump said.
He came to the U.S. to conclude the fossil agreement, the first step to make peace.
But he has to respect his citizens, his soldiers. So the peace must be credible.
If not NATO membership, there must be other defense mechanisms.
