Unknown Maya cities have been discovered in Guatemala. Their scale is surprising and makes us reconsider history.
A recent discovery in Guatemala completely turns the idea of the history of the Maya.
Firstly, more than 2800 buildings were found in the settlement; that is, its scale was huge.
Secondly, there were separate quarters of metallurgists, weavers, ancient hospitals, and temple complexes.
Also, Maya, with the help of stone structures, discharged sewage outside the settlement, which allowed to avoid epidemics.
There were no problems with water – a system of canals ran through the entire city.
To create such a city, the Maya had to have extensive knowledge.
They had to overtake at that time even the knowledge of the civilizations of Greece and Rome. The age of the discovery in Guatemala is estimated at 2500 years.
It took about 50 years to build the settlement. The Maya already had such knowledge by 500 BC.
This means that their civilization is older than the dates stated by official history by at least several centuries, if not millennia.
