Trump has appointed his security guard to head the Secret Service
Newly elected US President Donald Trump has appointed his security guard as head of the US Secret Service.
“Sean is a great patriot who has protected my family for the past several years,” Trump wrote.
Sean Curran has been with the Secret Service since 2001.
For the past four years, he has been in charge of Trump’s security detail, with 85 people under his command.
In July 2024, during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, there was a complete assassination attempt on Trump.
Curran immediately ran onto the stage and covered the presidential candidate.
As the New York Times notes, by getting the post, Curran essentially jumped several career ladders.
