Trump and Putin meeting to be held in Alaska
US President Donald Trump will meet Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in the US state of Alaska.
“The meeting between me and Russian President Putin will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025, in the great state of Alaska. More information will be provided later,” the American leader wrote.
In the Kremlin also already confirmed the date and place of the meeting between Putin and Trump.
It said that the chosen place of the meeting – Alaska – is symbolic because of the geographical proximity of the two countries.
Earlier there was information that Putin will stop the war if Ukraine agrees to cede the entire territory of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
The President of Ukraine responded to such plans to hand over the entire territory of Donbass to the Russian Federation, as reported in the media.
“The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question is already in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will or can deviate from it. Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Also, senior officials from the US, Ukraine, and several European countries plan to meet this weekend in the UK.
They want to reach common positions. The logistics of such a meeting are still being discussed, including who will attend.
