The US has weapons that no one knows about, Donald Trump said while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office.

“We have weapons that nobody has any idea what they are. And it’s the most powerful weapon in the world—more powerful than anybody even comes close,” Trump said without revealing details.

This is how he responded to a question about fears of escalation due to increased duties on goods from China.

According to the US president, he is not worried and does not expect escalation.

“President Xi is one of the smartest people in the world, and I don’t think he’s going to let that happen,” Trump added.

Earlier, it was reported that the division of the world economy into two blocs could lead to a long-term reduction in global GDP by almost 7%.

This is warned by the head of the WTO Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala against the background of Trump’s announcement of duties of 125% on goods from China.
