It became known that the U.S. doubled the reward for information that will lead to the arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro.
The amount has risen to $50 million, said U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
In a statement, Bondi called Maduro one of the world’s biggest drug traffickers and a threat to national security.
He uses foreign terrorist organizations to get deadly drugs into the United States.
In late July, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Maduro of running a drug cartel.
He stated that Maduro heads the Los Soles cartel, a narco-terrorist organization that has taken control of the country.
Rubio also said that he is facing accusations of supplying drugs to the US.
