Seoul has the heaviest snowfall in 100 years

More than 40 centimeters of snow has fallen in Seoul. This is the heaviest snowfall in the last 100 years.

The snowstorm that paralyzed the city resulted in a massive accident involving 53 vehicles.

It is reported that 4 people died, two were killed due to a structure collapsing under the weight of the snow.

Two more people died in a traffic accident. Several dozen airline flights had to be canceled due to the elements.

Unusually heavy snowfall is explained by the higher than usual temperature of sea waters.

It occurred west of the Korean Peninsula, which is facing cold air currents.
