Russian Su-30SM aircraft shot down over the Black Sea

Ukrainian military intelligence officers have destroyed a Russian Su-30SM aircraft in the waters of the Black Sea with a MANPADS hit.

The fighter jet that fell into the sea belonged to the Russian naval aviation regiment, which is based at the Saki airfield in occupied Crimea.

It is known that the loss of communication with the Russian plane occurred on September 11 around 5 am.

Approximately three hours later, the Russians began a search and rescue operation involving an AN-26 airplane, as well as Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters.

Later, a characteristic stain from aviation fuel was found in the sea, and soon the wreckage of the destroyed Su-30SM was also seen.

The cost of the destroyed Russian aircraft is approximately 50 million dollars.

Ukrainian intelligence published a video and confirmed the destruction of a Russian Su-30 aircraft over the Black Sea.
