Russian cruise missile destroyed by simple anti-aircraft gun

The Ukrainian military managed to shoot down a Russian Iskander-K cruise missile using a conventional anti-aircraft system.

This was reported on September 9 by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Presidential Brigade on social media.

To confirm their achievement, Ukrainian soldiers posted a video of the enemy missile being shot down on their Telegram channel.

“Shooting down a cruise missile with an anti-aircraft gun that is older than your father is a stroke of luck multiplied by great skill. But the soldiers of our brigade’s anti-aircraft missile and artillery division managed to do it,” the message says.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine is developing a missile capable of striking Moscow.

Ukrainian developers of the Trembita missile have stated that its basic range has already reached 200 kilometers (124 miles).

This range currently allows the missile to reach strategic targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.
