Petr Pavel presented Volodymyr Zelensky with a CZ 75 pistol

The President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel presented the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a CZ 75 self-loading pistol.

“As a sign of respect for heroism, I handed over the legendary CZ 75, serial number 22, to Volodymyr Zelenskyi,” said Petr Pavel.

The president of the Czech Republic announced this on his Twitter page.

 

Now Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky has two pistols. Earlier, the President said that he has a gun with him in case of an emergency.

He told this during an interview with journalist Dmytro Komarov.

“Can you imagine the president of Ukraine being held captive by the Russians? It’s a shame!” Zelenskiy said.

The president rejected the assumption that a gun is needed for suicide in a critical situation.
