Munich Airport suspended flights

Germany. Last night, Munich Airport suspended operations due to the appearance of unknown drones.

According to AFP, citing a German police representative, several eyewitnesses initially reported seeing a drone near the airport.

Later, there were reports that an unknown drone had been spotted over the airport.

It is reported that local police tried to find the drone using a helicopter, but without success.

Seventeen flights were canceled, and another 15 were diverted to other airports. The disruption affected more than 3,000 passengers.

Hundreds of them spent the night in terminals on folding beds, where they were given blankets, snacks, and drinks. Others were accommodated in hotels near the airport.

By Friday morning, around 5:00 a.m. local time, air traffic had resumed.
