Microwave weapons against drones

It has become known that the UK has successfully tested microwave weapons against drones.

This weapon can be used as an air defense as well as appear in Ukraine. About this, writes the Financial Times.

The material says that the new Rapid Destroyer system, during recent tests, neutralized two “swarms” of eight drones.

And in the framework of the entire project was tracked, detected and destroyed more than 100 drones.

The device can jam the electronics of drones with radio frequencies at a distance of up to 1 kilometer.

What is interesting is the cheapness of such weapons. The price of one shot from this system is only 10 pence UK.

Moreover, the installation can work continuously with a constant connection to a power source.

Such a state-of-the-art anti-drone weapon would greatly help the Ukrainian army in its fight against the Russian invaders.

Earlier, it was reported that the newest Ukrainian drones with thermal imaging cameras have been successfully used against Russian assault groups on the frontline.
