The search for five Marines is reportedly ongoing near San Diego.
They went missing when a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter crashed near Pine Valley National Park in southern California.
The helicopter was heading from Nevada to Marine Corps Base Miramar.
When he did not show up at his destination, a search was launched involving the Third Marine Airlift Wing.
Also involved in the search are the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, civilian and air patrol officers.
Earlier it was reported that in the Arabian Sea, while boarding a ship in a storm, two soldiers of the elite unit of the US Navy, Navy SEALs, disappeared.
Their further searches were unsuccessful – the soldiers were declared dead.
