It became known that in Australia on the coast of Tasmania tragedy occurred – 157 orcas were thrown on land.

Specialists tried to return several animals to the water, but these attempts were unsuccessful.

As a result, the authorities have come to the conclusion that the only humane way out will be to kill the surviving animals, writes Bild.

Initially, the authorities were informed about the orcas that had beached themselves by local residents.

According to experts, this is the first case of mass death of orcas in the last half a century.

At the moment, the reasons for such behavior of orcas remain unknown.
