First North Korean soldiers captured
The Ukrainian Defense Forces captured the first DPRK soldiers who are fighting on the side of Russia.
Two soldiers, who were wounded during the battle but survived, were taken to Kyiv. This is reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
At the time of capture, one of the North Korean soldiers had a Russian military ID with him.
A military ID issued in the name of another person with registration in the Republic of Tuva, and the other had no documents at all.
Communication with North Korean soldiers takes place through Korean language interpreters and in interaction with South Korean intelligence.
During interrogation, the prisoner who had a military ID said that the document was issued to him in Russia in the fall of 2024.
At that time, according to him, part of the combat units of North Korea underwent training on the territory of Russia for a week.
