This assumption is made by the American magazine Newsweek, citing the fact that over the past three weeks, Russia, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has lost eight aircraft.
The publication also refers to Russian military TV channels, which suggested that Ukraine could use modern aircraft to destroy Russian military targets.
Earlier, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces denied rumors that F-16s could appear in Ukraine before the end of this year.
Moreover, Air Force Speaker Yuri Ignat denied rumors from the same Russian public pages that Newsweek referred to.
There is also an opinion that the planes were shot down by the Patriot complex. This was also not officially confirmed.
