China said it was ready for “any type of war” with the United States.
So Beijing reacted to the new duties imposed by President Donald Trump.
“If waris what the U.S. wants, be ita tariff war, a trace war or any other ttypeof war, we’re ready to fight till the end.,” states the X-account of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The spokesman for the ministry writes that the supply of the drug fentanyl, which Trump identified as the reason for the introduction of tariffs, is a pathetic excuse.
He says Beijing has taken decisive steps to help the U.S. deal with the problem,
But the U.S. has punished China for helping, and is now trying to pressure and blackmail.
“Intimidation does not intimidate us. Intimidation does not affect us”, – states the speaker of the Foreign Ministry.
Recall, China immediately after Trump’s decision also raised duties on US imports.
It also became known that China this year will increase defense spending by 7.2% this year, up to $245 billion, following the published draft budget of the PRC.
A similar increase in defense spending of the PRC was recorded in 2023, it amounted to $220 billion.
