The White House blamed the Biden administration for the nation’s egg shortage and the killing of 8 million chickens before Trump’s inauguration

Biden accused of killing millions of chickens

The White House blamed former President Joe Biden’s administration for the U.S. egg shortage and the killing of chickens.

White House Speaker Caroline Leavitt said the Biden administration killed nearly 8 million chickens.

This allegedly happened just before Donald Trump’s inauguration, leading to supply shortages and rising prices.

She added that the egg crisis is Biden’s crisis, but Trump and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Leslie Rollins are fixing it.

Earlier, Elon Musk said that the Biden administration killed 150 million laying hens, not 8.

It was also reported that the US sent a request to European countries for emergency supplies of eggs but were denied.

They asked Denmark, Germany and other European countries to export more eggs amid shortages and rising prices.
