Artificial human DNA
It has become known that scientists from Cambridge are trying to create artificial human DNA.
For the first time in Britain began official work on the creation of artificial human DNA. This is reported by the BBC.
The project was funded by the largest biomedical foundation in the world, Wellcome Trust, allocating 10 million pounds.
This happened despite previous bans because of the threat of creating genetically “programmed” people.
Scientists say the aim of the project is to combat severe hereditary diseases.
According to Julian Seil, a participant in the project, it is about creating cells resistant to disease.
In the future, such cells can be used to replace diseased tissues, from the liver to the immune system.
