A tourist bathyscaphe has sunk in Egypt

It became known that the tourist bathyscaphe “Sinbad” with 45 Russians on board sank off the coast of Egypt.

As Bild writes, it happened this morning in the Red Sea near Hurghada.

The bathyscaphe took tourists to look at coral reefs, and preliminary, it collided with one of them, and there was depressurization of the vessel.

As a result, at least 6 passengers died and 9 were injured; 4 of them are in serious condition.

Such a bathyscaphe was the only one at the firm’s disposal on which underwater hour-long tours were conducted.

Tourists paid about 50 American dollars to dive underwater to see the reef aboard the bathyscaphe.

This was handled by Sharm Hurghada Excursions, which was the organizer of the tour.
