A painting by Marc Chagall sold for almost 3.5 million dollars

Marc Chagall wrote the picture Joy of the Circus in 1983, when he lived in the French commune of Saint-Paul-de-Vence on the Côte d’Azur.

The artist often painted pictures dedicated to the circus because he loved it so much.
