A giant rock will approach Earth

It has become known that asteroid 2025 FA22 will fly past Earth, with the minimum distance between the celestial bodies slightly exceeding the diameter of the Moon’s orbit.

This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute.

This is apparently the largest rock in 2025, or, as experts say, at least one of the largest.

Asteroid 2025 FA22 will fly past our planet at a distance of less than a million kilometers.

The asteroid approaching the planet is 166 meters in diameter and 290 meters in length.

In terms of mass, 2025 FA22 is about a thousand times larger than the Chelyabinsk meteorite. The probability of a collision between Earth and 2025 FA22 is estimated at about 0.01 percent.
