A B-1 bomber was spotted near Venezuela
Meanwhile, an American B-1 strategic bomber was spotted off the coast of Venezuela.
At present, it is known that the aircraft took off from Dyess Air Force Base in Texas. This was reported by the Associated Press.
Tensions in the region have been rising since August, when Donald Trump declared “war on Venezuelan drug cartels.”
Trump sent military ships to the country’s shores. The day before, he also said that the US could launch a ground operation against drug cartels.
“We may ask Congress for authorization for a ground operation against Venezuela, but I don’t think Congress will object; why would it?” the US president said.
“We are unhappy with Venezuela; China is making $100 million by smuggling fentanyl through Venezuela into the US. I will discuss this with Chairman Xi,” he said.
“We don’t need a declaration of war; we will simply kill those who bring drugs into our territory,” Trump added.
